CITY OF SUPERIOR – CERTIFIED ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR (PT)
The City of Superior is seeking Master Electricians to fill the part-time Commercial Electrical Inspector position. This position performs skilled electrical inspection work related to enforcement of national, state and local electrical codes for commercial buildings, in addition to one-and two-family dwellings.
MUST be certified by the state of Wisconsin as a Master Electrician to apply.
Work Schedule: Part-time to a maximum of 975 hours/year (18.5 hours/week annual average); Very flexible schedule. Monday-Friday
Wages: $24.77 – $30.96/hour (2018 wage range) Starting wage dependent on experience.
Pay grade is made up of 10 wage steps. Employee would move to next step in the grade on anniversary date of hire with the City if meeting expectations of position. Each wage step is approximately 2.5%.

BUILDING INSPECTOR – City of Superior
The City of Superior, WI is seeking a Building Inspector. An Inspector performs residential and/or commercial building inspection activities. Work is performed under the supervision of the Chief Building Inspector. The Inspector is a multi-classification position (I, II, III) with responsibilities and compensation commensurate with State of Wisconsin Certification level and experience.
The City is currently accepting applications at all three Inspector levels.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (37.5 hours/week) or as needed otherwise.
Wages: Depending on qualifications/certifications at the time of hire:
Certified Inspector I: $21.16 – $26.45/hour (have no certifications)
Certified Inspector II: $22.96 – $28.70/hour (have two UDC certifications)
Certified Inspector III: $24.77 – $30.96/hour (have one commercial certification+typically two UDC certifications)
Pay plan is made up of 10 wage steps at each level. Employees move to the next step in the pay plan on their anniversary date of hire with the City if meeting expectations of their position. Employees move up pay plan levels by obtaining certifications required for each level.

BUILDING INSPECTOR – CITY OF GREENFIELD
Full-time position to do building inspections and review building plans for new and existing buildings, issue permits, and enforce all City, State and Federal codes, and local ordinances. Qualified applicants must possess at a minimum current Commercial and Residential certifications/credentials for State of Wisconsin. Electric, plumbing and HVAC certifications desirable.
Starting salary $31.53-$33.45/hour, depending upon number of certifications held, with excellent benefits. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required.

Due to a recent retirement, the City of Franklin, located in the southwest corner of Milwaukee County, is accepting applications/resumes for a Building Inspector. The Building Inspector serves as the director of the Department of Building Inspection.
