Commercial Building = This course will assist participants in implementing the transition from the 2015 IBC to the 2021 IBC. It will include the Wisconsinism’s that alter the 2021 IBC. This interactive training will focus on the key changes that are found in the 2021 IBC. Approved for 6 hours of CEU’s for Commercial Building Inspector and Dwelling Contractor Qualifier.
UDC Building = This course will take a deep dive into the ever-popular separated building design. We will look at several different plans from 2 separated duplexes (4 dwellings total) all the way to 4 separated duplexes (8 dwelling units). We will walk through plan reviews and see some onsite photos of common issues when the framing is performed. We will cover a wide variety of topics including treated wood foundations, shallow frost protected foundations, we will look at some of the gas venting requirements and hvac duct installation issues. Approved for 6 hours CEU’s for UDC Building Inspector, Dwelling Contractor Qualifier, and UDC HVAC Inspector.
Commercial Electrical = This program will review changes that affect electrical installations in order to comply with the newly adopted 2021 Wisconsin Building, Energy, Mechanical, Accessibility Codes and more. We will also have our annual Code Panel discussion reviewing issues that have arisen in the past year around the State. Approved for 6 hours CEU’s for Commercial Electrical Inspector, UDC-Electrical Inspector, Industrial Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Registered Electrician, Residential Journeyman Electrician, and Residential Master Electrician.
1&2 Family Electrical = This program will provide guidance for navigating the NEC and SPS 316 to help beginning and veteran electricians find answers in the Code. We will also look at inspection fundamentals for new and seasoned inspectors or other electricians looking to become inspectors. Our annual Code Panel discussion will discuss issues that have arisen around the State in the past year. Approved for 6 hours CEU’s for Commercial Electrical Inspector, UDC-Electrical Inspector, Industrial Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, Registered Electrician, Residential Journeyman Electrician, and Residential Master Electrician.
Plumbing = The morning session of this class will cover a mock UDC Plumbing Inspector exam that can be done in small breakout groups followed up with open discussion to review what the topics were. We will hear about a possible code update. It will cover some issues with Indirect and Local Waste piping. Later in the day we will look at “What to Expect when You’re Inspecting”. Then we will finish up with a quick run through a water calculation worksheet as well as some venting do’s and don’ts. Approved for 6 hours of CEU’s for Commercial Plumbing Inspector, UDC Plumbing Inspector, Journeyman Plumber / restricted appliance-service, and Master Plumber / restricted appliance-service.
